PenetronX Cementitious Capillary Crystalline Waterproofing

PenetronX is an advanced cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing compound engineered specifically for concrete structures. Unlike surface coatings that can peel or degrade over time, PenetronX penetrates deep into the concrete matrix, forming insoluble crystals that permanently block pores, capillaries, and micro-cracks against water penetration.
Key Advantages
Permanent Waterproofing: Lasts the lifetime of the concrete structure; never degrades or delaminates
Self-Healing Technology: Automatically seals hairline cracks up to 0.5mm when moisture reappears
Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance: Withstands both positive and negative water pressure up to 1.2 MPa (175 psi)
Dual-Action Protection: Prevents water ingress from outside while containing liquids inside
NSF/ANSI 61 Certified: Safe for potable water contact applications
Chemical Resistant: Protects against sulfates, chlorides, acids, and aggressive groundwater
Breathable Membrane: Allows concrete to release vapor pressure while blocking liquid water
Enhances Concrete Durability: Increases freeze-thaw resistance and reduces chemical attack

How It Works: Capillary Crystalline Technology
PenetronX contains proprietary active chemicals that use water as a transport medium. These chemicals penetrate deep into the concrete capillary structure through capillary action and diffusion.
Once inside, they react with free lime and unhydrated cement particles to form insoluble needle-like crystals. These crystals grow and fill the capillaries, pores, and micro-cracks, creating a permanent waterproof barrier.
When the concrete dries, the active chemicals remain dormant. If future moisture intrusion occurs through new cracks, the crystallization process reactivates, automatically sealing the pathway – this is the unique self-healing property of PenetronX.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can PenetronX be applied to existing concrete that is already leaking?
A: Yes. PenetronX is particularly effective for remedial waterproofing from the negative side. Its deep penetration seals concrete from within, stopping active leaks.
Q: Does PenetronX require a protective topping or coating?
A: For buried applications or where chemical exposure is severe, a protective layer may be recommended. For exposed applications, PenetronX is durable on its own.
Q: Can it be applied to precast concrete elements?
A: Absolutely. PenetronX is ideal for precast segments, pipes, and panels. It can be applied at the manufacturing stage or on-site.
Q: How does it compare to membrane systems?
A: Unlike membranes that rely on surface adhesion and can be damaged, PenetronX becomes part of the concrete itself. It cannot be punctured, torn, or debonded.
Q: Is it suitable for marine environments?
A: Yes. PenetronX provides excellent protection against chloride attack, sulfate attack, and saltwater corrosion in marine structures.
Q: What is the shelf life?
A: 12 months when stored in original unopened packaging in dry, cool conditions.
